High Throughput Optical Cavities for Materials Sensing
Optical micro-cavities have solidified their place in chemical sensing, reaching single-particle level in both solution and gas phase sensing. However, a drawback of these cavities is their lack of throughput. Most optical cavities require specialized fabrication and precise alignment. My current research focuses on the ability to optical cavities that retain material sensing capabilities while being able to be fabricated in-house.
Integrating Programming Skills into the Chemistry Curriculum
Coding is becoming a critical skill for all scientist who want to analyze data. I am working to develop activities that give our students an intro to coding in chemistry. Currently I am developing activities for physical chemistry courses.
